This product is quiet amazing, really! I had severe sun damage around my eyes which makes me look at least 5 years older. I am looking for a job but the outcome of interview always let me down since the first visible signs of my eyes are unfavorable which seems to be dim and sickly.

However, things had changed after I used Obagi Elastiderm Night Eye Cream for 3 weeks. No words can express how pleased I am now since I had solved the sun damage problem that I worried for years! The way to use it is rather simple—just apply to the sensitive skin around the eyes as often as needed, following the brow bone and the pock ets beneath the eyes. To understand how Obagi Elastiderm works, you need to first understand what elastin and collagen do. The skin comprises approximately 70% collagen and only 2% to 4% elastin. Elastin is a protein and the major component of elastic fibers. This protein is rarely replaced in the human body and is capable of lasting the entire lifespan in undisturbed tissues. Elastin is different than collagen, in that elastin provides elasticity while collagen provides tensile strength to the skin. Collagen synthesis decreases gradually over time, while elastin synthesis decreases after puberty.

Skin aging occurs in two distinct processes: 1) intrinsic aging or chronological aging, and 2) extrinsic aging or photoaging. Chronological aging results in the steady degradation of cutaneous tissue over time. Photoaging results in increased solar elastosis and reduced production of collagen. Solar elastosis occurs due to chronic exposure to sunlight, which eventually will result in wrinkled and lax skin. Damage to or loss of elastic fibers in adult skin is permanent if left untreated.

Obagi Elastiderm is a one of a kind eye treatment, which has been clinically proven to help restore elasticity to the skin around the eyes and reduce visible fine lines and wrinkles in as little as two weeks.
